Cherry Grove Primary School COVID Recovery Premium
Cherry Grove used the COVID Catch-Up Premium in 2021-22 as per the attached report. The school utilised the recommendations of the Education Endowment Fund (EEF) research, and adopted the tiered model of providing support on three pillars:
- Teaching and whole-school strategies (including National Tutoring programme)
- Wellbeing support
- Targeted approaches
Since Autumn 2022 (final term Summer 2024), Cherry Grove has been in receipt of COVID Recovery Premium. A core strand of this has been providing high quality tuition using the National Tutoring programme (to include school-based tutoring) and also investment in the NELI (National English Language Intervention) with our younger children to help intervene early where there are speech and language gaps.
